The milestone ordinance by Councilor Dave Amor and the first of the 20th Sangguniang Bayan is now the recognized official demonym of the people of the Municipality of Polomolok.
What began as a locally passed ordinance in Polomolok (September 30, 2025) is now officially approved at the provincial level.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of South Cotabato has officially approved “AN ORDINANCE DECLARING “POLOMOLOKEÑOS” AS THE OFFICIAL DEMONYM FOR THE PEOPLE OF POLOMOLOK, SOUTH COTABATO, AND MANDATING ITS USE IN OFFICIAL, CULTURAL, AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS” during its 15th Regular Session dated January 19, 2026.
This landmark legislation strengthens local identity and pride, unifying the people of Polomolok under a shared name that reflects their heritage and sense of belonging.
